Xiaomi has released its Redmi 4A in India on March 20, 2017 and it is currently priced at Rs 5,999 ($93). The device comes with a pretty nice hardware packed in a nice looking shell. The price is not high and we can say that this is one of the best budget smartphones that you can purchase in India at the moment.
So, if you are not sure if you want to purchase this device yet, let’s look at its specifications and features.
Design and build
First of all, we have to mention that Xiaomi Redmi 4A doesn’t look like a budget device, because it comes with a metal finish on the body, with a minimalistic design that will fit perfectly in your hand. At the same time, you will notice that the quality of the material that was used to create this device can be seen in mid-range phones from Xiaomi.
The device features a Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, an Adreno 308 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. When it comes to the internal storage, the handset supports only 16GB, but don’t worry, because you are able to expand its capacity up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a primary camera of 13MP that offers autofocus, LED flash and it is able to record at full HD, while the secondary camera is 5MP. Both cameras are able to capture great pictures and the image processing is very fast.
The device comes with proximity, compass, gyro and accelerometer sensors. Xiaomi did a pretty good job by bringing the gyro sensor to a device that’s sold only for Rs 5,999.
The device is powered by a non-removable battery of 3120 mAh, which is good enough for a device that has a 5-inch display. This means that the battery is able to keep the device alive for an entire day, even if you will heavily use it.
