It seems that Microsoft has updated its Skype Universal Application with some new features. The new update is now offering users a new way to handle their contacts and even send SMS using Skype credit. At the same time, the search function will allow you to easily find a specific sentence from a chat window.
However, before we tell you more about the new features and options, you need to make sure that you have Skype 188.8.131.52 installed. If you have a previous version installed, then head to the Windows Store and update it right away.
Once the installation is complete, open the new Skype 184.108.40.206 and you will notice that the Contact layout has been simplified and it now allows you to connect with the People App and it also lets you easily stay in touch with your friends and family. To make things even better, the application will populate the mutual contacts that you have, a feature that’s aimed to help you connect better with your friends.
The messaging option now has a better indexing option, allowing you to search for chats, and, as we’ve told you above, it allows you to send SMS, but you will need Skype Credit for that.
The Group Video Calling feature has received an overhaul, which you will notice once you will make a call via this application. While calling someone, you will be able to switch the microphone and camera without having to disconnect the call, which will surely please the users who wanted to turn off/on their camera during calls.
Skype 220.127.116.11 also comes with performance and stability improvements, and you are now able to access the Skype Translator feature when making mobile and landlines calls via this application. The new version of the application is now allowing you to drag and drop files up to 300MB and the preview will be shown in the form of a shared URL.
