It seems that Nokia has a big summer planned ahead. The company has just announced two separate devices that are due to be launched at the same time, in either July or August of this year. One of them is the already highly coveted Nokia 9, a HMD flagship device that is rumored to be a rival worthy of the hottest smartphones of the moment, such as Samsung Galaxy S8 or the upcoming iPhone 8 Apple is also expected to launch this year.

However, the main rival the Nokia 9 is said to have another rival on the way under the guise of the China-based OnePlus 5 that is expected to launch this June. While the Nokia 9 is expected to be a little bit more expensive, the two will fall into a very similar price bracket. Rumor has it that the Nokia 9 will cost 699 dollars, while the OnePlus5 will be slightly cheaper at around 499 dollars.

Which One Is Better?

There is little known at this moment about the OnePlus 5, but what we do know is almost identical to the data we’ve got on the Nokia 9. For example, both phones will have a 5.5-inch QHD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. On top of that, both smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat powered by 6GB of RAM. However, our info on the OnePlus 5 stops here.

If we were to guess that the rest of the specs will also be identical to those of the Nokia 9, then we should expect the Chinese company’s flagship phone to also come in two variants, of 64 or 128GB of internal storage, along with SD-support, and have a 3800 mAh battery or something similar. We’ll just have to wait for the big launch in June to see.
