These smartphones are two of the favorite in the budget phone area, so let’s check out the essential specs and features that OnePlus and Motorola have to offer through their devices.

Display

Motorola’s Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inch display with IPS LCD technology, and OnePlus 3T boasts a 5.5-inch display with Optic AMOLED tech. Despite the fact that they both have 16M colors, the AMOLED display a more readable as it gets a little brighter than Moto’s display.

Both displays have a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, but Moto’s display is sharper due to its smaller size. It also has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and the OnePlus T3 uses the newer Gorilla Glass 4.

Camera

Moto G5 Plus’ photos might be a little bit cooler than the ones taken with the OnePlus 3T which are just a little warmer. Moto G5 Plus has a focus that is a bit easier to get due to its dual pixel autofocus feature that also comes with the Sony IMX362 Exmor RS Image Sensor. The OnePlus 3T lacks dual-pixel PDAF but has a Sony IMX298 Exmore RS Image Sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus.

Storage & processor

The Moto G5 Plus comes with 32 or 64GB internal storage with 2 or 4GB RAM. We can also get a 32GB internal storage option with 3GB RAM. It also comes with a microSD card that can carry up to 256GB of data.

The OnePlus 3T lack a microSD card slot but it has 64 or 128GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM.

Both phones work on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors from the same generation. Moto G5 Plus uses Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0Ghz Cortex A-53, and the OnePlus 3T works on Snapdragon 821 quad-core (2×2.35Ghz Kryo + 2 x 1.6Ghz Kryo).

Pricing

The Moto G5 Plus is going to launch this month, and the OnePlus 3T is out since last November.

The OnePlus 3T with 64GB storage is $439, and the 128GB is $479. The Moto G5 Plus with 32GB storage is $230 and the 64GB one is $300.
