It’s no secret that Google are working hard and steadfast on their newest operating system project, the Android O. The Mountain View giant has begun developing the new OS for quite a while now, and it’s currently available for beta testing on some select Google Devices of the Nexus and Pixel variety. Naturally, non-Google Android devices will have to wait until the official release of the product.

Huawei Profits from Partnership with Google

It’s well known that Google and Huawei are close partners in the smart device game. And, seeing how Google sometimes likes to give OEMs the chance to have their software update beforehand in anticipation of a major operating system launch, it’s no surprise that Huawei started internal testing of the new Android O on select Mate 9 devices. After all, Google is one known for sharing their work with their closest partners.

This is a win-win situation for both parties involved, because Google has the chance to see how their project responds on non-Google devices as well, and Huawei will now have the upper hand in getting all their devices ready for the much-anticipated Android O when it will launch officially.

Thus, reports and online leaks already show how Huawei has been working hard to optimize its EMUI in order to increase performance on the future Android O, and provide users with the fullest and most high-quality experience imaginable.

According to some leaked images, it’s also quite obvious that most Android O features seem to work perfectly on the Huawei Mate 9, which is great news for both Huawei users, as well as the Chinese company itself. All in all, we can’t wait to see what Android O will bring to the table, and also we’re so very curious as to what new and delicious treat Google will name it after.
