Google Pixel vs. Huawei P8 – Best Phone Comparison so far


Today we will compare the Google Pixel and Huawei P8, two devices that have been released back in October 2016 and April 2015, respectively.

Designs

The Google Pixel measures 143.8×69.5×8.5mm and weights 143 grams. Its design is industrial, with a back that contains metal and glass on the top third of the surface, in order to avoid antenna lines. Also, the names of the color options are usual, such as Quite Black, Very Silver, and Really Blue. As for the Huawei P8, the device is slimmer, as it measures 144.9×72.1×6.4mm and weights 144 grams. Huawei made its exterior of metal and placed a wide glass strip at the top of the back, which includes the camera lens. The 16 model is available in Titanium Grey and Mystic Champagne colors, while the 64GB model comes in Carbon Black or Prestige Gold.

Displays

The Google Pixel has an AMOLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Huawei P8 features a bigger IPS-NEO LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 424 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Google Pixel comes with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 chipset, a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The Huawei P8 has a HiSilicon Kirin 930/935 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, a Mali-T628 MP4 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The Google Pixel has been released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 128GB, without the possibility to expand it. On the other hand, the Huawei P8 comes in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 64GB, which you are able to expand up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Google Pixel sports a primary camera of 12.3MP that features phase detection & laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Huawei P8 has a slightly better primary camera of 13MP that features OIS, dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

The Google Pixel has a non-removable battery of 2770 mAh, which is slightly more powerful than 2680 mAh non-removable battery that the Huawei P8 features.
